Girls' Hockey U9A v Warminster Prep

The U9A girls on Monday played very well against Warminster, eventually winning 3-0. All of the team passed the ball well and worked hard together, particularly in defence. My player of the match is Elena, because she was passing, intercepting and dribbling really well.

Girls' Hockey U9B v Warminster Prep

The U9 team played very well in their match on Monday against Warminster's A team. There was some strong individual dribbles but we needed to be a bit stronger in our tackles. A target for our next game would be to improve on our movement and getting into a clear space. The end score was 0-1 against Warminster, my player of the match is Anna because she was moving and tackling really well.

The U8's had an outstanding game against Warminster on Monday. Everyone played with effort and passion and it was a great game.  We created lots of chances, played well as a team and eventually won the game 4-1. My player of the match is Matilda because she was supporting everyone in the team.

Girls' Hockey U8B v Warminster Prep

The U9B's game this week was away at Warminster. This was always going to be tough as we were facing their A team. However, despite this the team has continued to make progress and all the players worked really hard together. We lost the game but I am really proud of how well we played.  My player of the match is Eva because when she fell down she got up again straight away and she played really well.

Boys' Rugby U8A v Warminster Prep

The U8’'s travelled to Warminster for their second game of the season. The A team played some excellent tag rugby, with some particularly strong running from Luke and Henry. However, Jack and Harry made some crucial last ditch tags to prevent numerous Warminster attacks and potential tries. This was a good win for the team which is now beginning to show some strong potential.

Boys' Rugby U8B v Warminster Prep

The under card event proved no less exciting on Monday as the under 8 b team took on the might of Warminsters’ U8 elite. William and William made some telling forward runs and Henry made a couple of his now trademark lunge for the line scoring efforts. The stand out performance came from Tom. He attacked strongly, made great attempts to rip the tags off the Warminsters’ boys and his support running was fantastic and resulted in a couple of tries. The opposition proved too strong though and edged the contest, our defensive line letting us down: something to work on in the future.

Boys' Rugby U9A v Warminster Prep

The U9s enjoyed a successful afternoon at Warminster. The A;s won all three of their matches playing a brand of expansive and entertaining rugby. There were instances of superb rugby with particular highlights going to the development of playing through the phases.

The Bs played well, winning 2 of their 3 matches. They demonstrated how to present the ball correctly after being tackled, leading to the opportunity for attacks. The notable highlight was George Fox spotting a gap and making a dashing break from halfway, as a result of this and his excellent effort he was awarded the Player of the Match award.
